Chinese confectioners - Sweet dreams of sugar

Artfully decorated cakes are very popular on a Chinese children's happy birthday. The cakes not only look like sweet as sugar, they also taste as sweet as sugar : o)) children, especially sons are very spoiled in the Chinese "One Child" society. We visit a pastry shop in Suzhou, due to its many canals and bridges also called the "Venice of the East". The nearby water village Wuhzen is a kind of Chinese "Europa Park Rust" with the theme of the italian Venice and gondoliers.
