Everest Trekking - on the way to the roof of the world

Lukla -> Phakding -> Monjo -> Jorsale -> Namche Bazar -> Mendaphu Hill -> Syangboche -> Khunde -> Khumjung -> Everest View Hotel -> Tengboche - Pangboche -> flight to Everest Basecamp -> flight back to Lukla

Sagarmatha National Park

The Sagarmatha National Park starts short behind the village Monjo. For Trekking in the Khumbu region You must buye a Permit.
On numerous Mani-stones (prayer stones) along the way at the milk river (Dudh Koshi) is painted or engraved the buddhist Mantra "Om mani padme hum". Buddhist memorials are circled always clockwise. Walking in the wrong direction causes bad luck !
The milk river (Dudh Koshi) meanders framed of forest and blooming bushes through the narrow valley. Trekker, Sherpas and heavy loaded Yak-cows, all have to travel along the rope bridges at the milk river. Many nice lodges and teahouses are located along the trail.

Hillary bridge

Before the steep step stone trail up to the sherpa capital city Namche Bazar we cross the Hillary bridge. Numerous colorful prayer flags wave in the wind.

"Namaste" sounds everywhere, what means "I great the god who lives in your mind".
