Queenstown - the Queen of Funsports
Jetboat driving on the Shotover River
A thrill and a class of its own, Adrenalin pure is the racy ride on the Jetboat at the wild upper part of Shotover River. Full throttle - roaring 1000 PS strong turbo jet engines accelerate the Jetboats uop to 80 km/h. Only 10 cm depth of the water needs a Jetboat to glide over the water. With breathtaking speed we drive direct onward to a big Rockwall and in the lastest moment we pass it with a few centimeter distance - what a thrill.
By raising one's hand of the Jetboat Pilot we must hold tight and by some 360° Spin's the water foames up. On luckily survifing the dangerous adenture you can buy a personal fun photo postcard as greetings from afar to all at home.
High above from the bridge on Arthurs Point the view into the steep Shotover Canyon and the super quick Jetboats is spectakular.
