Tibidabo - Barcelona's amusement park
512 m high is the Tibidabo, the mountain of Barcelona. At the top of Tibidabo hill there is the Church Sagrat Cor (Sacred Heart or Heart of Jesus) and the amusement park Parc d'Tibidabo Funfair with a Ferris wheel. From Tibidabo you have a breathtaking view downto Barcelona.
The Tibidabo was built by the pharmacist Salvador Andreu and opened in 1901 along with the cable car.
Directions: FGR-train from Plaēa Catalunya to Tibidabo terminus, Blue Tram, cable car Funicular.
Return: Tibibus (discount with the Barcelona Card) to Plaēa Catalunya.
At sunset, the view from Tibidabo on Barcelona's Downtown at its best. From October, the amusement park is only open on weekends. On the Barcelona Card 20% discount obtained on admission to the Tibidabo amusement park.
Las Ramblas is the street and the most famous boulevard in Barcelona and exactly 1,259 feet long. Las Ramblas runs from the Plaēa de Catalunya down through the old town to the harbor Port Vell. The Las Ramblas from the Oldtown district Barri Gotic and El Raval district.
The boulevard Las Ramblas is the paradise of jugglers and street musicians. In the middle of Las Ramblas there are also many flower stalls and bird dealer.
