Hot Air Ballooning - Flying high above the Salzburg Land
Hot Air Balloonfestival in Filzmoos near the Dachstein mountain in Austria.
We start in thick morning fog in front of the Bischop's miter mountain.
In 3500 m above sea level we fly over the Dachstein rock ridge. The competition balloons are rising rapidly higher and move up to about 6000 m altitude flying over the Alps and landing in Italy near Venice, thank God I'm not in there !
Our balloon throws his shadow over the pine mountain forest of the Ramsau mountains.
Due to the high altitude a hot air balloon ride in winter over the snow and ice covered mountain peaks of the Alps is an unforgettable experience. |
