Sagrada Familia cathedral

The Sagrada Familia is the biggest Cathedral under construction in the world.
First you queue up outside (admission discount with the Barcelona Card 30%). Finally inside comes the shock at the lift to the top of Sagrada Familia - from here you wait another 60 minutes.

But there is no alternative, because only from the top is the gigantic construction site really interesting.

Metro: L2, station Sagrada Familia.

Started was the life's work of Gaudi in the year 1883. The whole project should even consist of 18 towers, the highest with 170 m shall top the whole complex.

The Sagrada Familia cathedral is the unquestioned landmark of Barcelona.

Palau de la Música Catalana

From the spanish Architect Domènech i Montaner 1908 built concert hall in the modernist style. Especially nice is the ceiling of the alau de la Música Catalana.

For guided tours you must register sometimes even one or two days in advance (Info http://www.palaumusica.org).

Tip: 20% reduced entrance fee on Barcelona Card or Bus Turistic.

Las Ramblas

Like a snake the green band of Las Ramblas winds from the harbour to Plaça de Catalunya in the citycenter of Barcelona. Here romp numerous entertainers and street musicians.
The view from Monument de Colom, the 60 m high Columbus column downto the marina and the old town Barri Gòtic is breathtaking. On the left side of the Columbus column is located the entrance to the Schifffahrtmuseum.

Daytrip to the Monastery Montserrat

Montserrat sawed mountain
For the day trip to Montserrat Monastery Your best buy Tot Montserrat Card, da sind für 30 € Metro + FGC-Bahn ab der Plaça d'Espanya + Rack train + Funiculars + Museum + Audiovisual Show und sogar ein Mittagessen enthalten (Mehrsprachiger Infoflyer im pdf-Format).

I decide to use the Sant Joan.
