Disadvantages: Limited visibility and posibility to take photos. Advantages: Stabilere Flugeigenschaften bei Turbulenzen, weniger Kälte und Fahrtwind.
Telefonische Reservierung ca 3-5 Tage im Voraus kann notwendig werden, da das Interesse am ULM-Fliegen ständig steigt und nur eine begrenzte Flugkapazität vorhanden ist. Tipp: Eine kleinere Tour buchen (z.B. Mafate, Maïdo Lagune) und in jedem Fall ein offenes Fluggerät (Hangglider) vorziehen. Das fliegt niedriger und langsamer als ein Flugzeug, dadurch wesentlich bessere Fotografiermöglichkeit ! Nicht zu früh morgens starten, die beste Zeit ist zwischen 8 und 10 Uhr und selbstverständlich nur bei schönem Wetter. Über der Lagune nach Delphinen und Walen suchen. Diese sind aus der Luft gut sichtbar :o))

Ferme Corail Breeding station for sea turtles. Die bis zu 25 Jahre alten und 200 kg schweren Tiere sind sehr zutraulich, man kann sie sogar mit der Hand berühren. (ausserhalb von Saint-Leu, Richtung Boucan-Canot, geöffnet täglich von 9 bis 18 Uhr).

Whale watching Whale watching is mostly possible in August. In August humpback whales swim from the Antarctic to the westcoast of La Réunion, particularly into the coastal area between l'Hermitage and Cap la Houssaye. Tip: For Whale watching an Ultralight flight over the Lagune with the Hangglider is the best choice, to watch the giant whales from the air. Their mighty bodies are visible very good from above in the crystalcleare cyan water of the Lagune :o)) Aquarium Who does no diving or snorkeling, can explore the Underwaterworld of La Réunion comfortable and on dry foot. (Saint-Gilles-les Bains, Port de Plaisance, open Thu until Son von 10 bis 18.30 Uhr).

Market in St.-Pierre Every Saturday findet vormittags ein farbenfroher Markt etwas ausserhalb von St.-Pierre (near Tamilentemple im Ortsteil Ravine Blanche) statt.

Hell-Bourg, Rapsody in Green
Halbverfallener, ehemaliger Thermalkurort mit dem Charme des Morbiden. Die Pflanzenwelt überwuchert alles, Strom- und Telefonmasten, Mauern, ganze Häuser in nie gesehener Intensität, Urwald pur. Es gibt einen natürlichen Tunnel aus Bambus, so hoch, dass ein Lastwagen hindurchfahren kann, so dicht, dass man das Autolicht anschalten muss.
